About Havering Singers

Formed in 1946 as a section of the Hornchurch, Romford and Upminster Music and Arts Society, the choir became the Havering Singers in 1965 when the new London Borough of Havering was formed. The choir has grown to about 80 voices and regularly performs in venues around Havering.

The choir gives four major concerts during each season (which runs from September to July) – two choral concerts with orchestra and soloists, a concert of Christmas music, and a Summer concert of lighter, more contemporary music.

Come and join us

Havering Singers is open to all who enjoy singing, whatever their musical experience. We have capacity for new members across all sections and we offer a warm welcome – click here to read about Sarah’s experience when she joined the choir. We help one another to learn the music so that everyone can do their best and, above all, enjoy themselves.

So if you are looking for a friendly choir and the opportunity to make music, please come and make some music with us! Whether you have prior choir experience or would like to try singing, click here to find out more about what to expect.
